MR. JIN (Jim) MASUDA, beloved
husband of Nobuko (Nobbie) Masuda,
passed away at the Chinook Regional
Hospital on Thursday, June 5, 2008 at
the age of 86 years.
He is the loving father of Barbara
(Alan) Grant of Bentley, AB and Reg
(Verna) Masuda of Lethbridge. He is
also survived by three grandsons; Conor,
Cory and Christopher and one brother;
Aki (Misae) Masuda.
He is predeceased by his mother, Seiki
Masuda; his father, Tokuhei Masuda; a
sister, Edith Kosaka, and a
granddaughter, Courtney Grant.
After moving to Southern Alberta Jim
worked for Shimek Motors in Picture
Butte, Fred King Motors, Fleming Motors,
and Bridge City Chrysler. Upon
retirement Jim and Nobbie enjoyed many
trips to Vegas, several cruises and
received total enjoyment from their
grandchildren. He enjoyed camping and
fishing and family picnics while the family
was growing up, and fishing and golf
during their retirement. Every summer
his pride and joy was his garden, and
sharing the harvest with friends and
family.
A Memorial Service will be held on
Monday, June 9, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at
FIRST UNITED CHURCH, 502-13 Street
North, Lethbridge, with Rev. Aldeen
McKay officiating. Cremation.
Flowers and koden are gratefully
declined.
