The 11th Annual Val Matteotti Italian Golf Open was held August 9th at the Lethbridge Country Club. The event raised more than $65,00 bringing its 11-year total to $580,000 for medical equipment at the Lethbridge Regional Hospital.
Tournament proceeds will be directed this year as follows:
- $20,000 toward the purchase of an infant warmer for the NICU. The funding supports the We Care Saves for Little Hearts Program sponsored by We Care Home Health Services and the Lethbridge Hurricanes
- $25,000 for a life-signs cardiac monitor for the cardiac and stroke observation unit
- $20,000 for the new i-suite project that will convert three traditional operating rooms into two high-tech, highly integrated OR’s for complex, minimally invasive surgery, including cancer surgery
